GQ Labs Phase II Project & Laboratory Animal Center Launch Ceremony Successfully Completed
On the morning of April 28, 2023, the launch ceremony for the Phase II project and Laboratory Animal Center of Nanjing GQ Laboratories Co., Ltd. ("GQ Labs") was officially held at GQ Labs. Guo Changbiao, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy District Head of Qixia District, Huang Bin, Director of the Qixia High-tech Zone Management Committee, and others attended the ceremony on site.
Academician Wang Guangji, founder of GQ Labs, first congratulated the official launch of the Phase II project and Laboratory Animal Center and thanked all colleagues for their hard work on this project. He reviewed the growth journey of the GQ Labs R&D team, explained the current situation of domestic innovative drug R&D and CRO services, and the importance of animal laboratory construction. He also thanked the Qixia High-tech Zone for providing a favorable R&D and innovation environment for GQ Labs over the long term. Finally, Academician Wang Guangji stated that this is a new starting point for GQ Labs' scientific development and a new opportunity to achieve high-quality development. GQ Labs will take this opportunity to continue enhancing its capabilities in exploration and innovation, constantly improve internal hardware and software construction, and is certain to become a research-oriented CRO company recognized by the industry for drug developability evaluation.
Deputy District Head Guo Changbiao extended the most sincere blessings and warm congratulations on the phased achievements of GQ Labs. In his speech, he expressed that the launch of GQ Labs' Phase II project and Laboratory Animal Center fills the gap for large animal experimental platforms within the park, injecting new vitality into the biopharmaceutical industry of the entire district. As a leading figure in the domestic drug R&D field, Academician Wang Guangji has strengthened confidence in the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Qixia District. It is believed that GQ Labs will certainly ride the momentum, work hand in hand with Qixia District to seize opportunities, and reach new heights. At the same time, Qixia District will, as always, provide stronger guarantees and a better environment for enterprise development, supporting the development of the biopharmaceutical industry from aspects such as R&D innovation, talent introduction, and optimized approval processes, helping enterprises enhance their development confidence and foundation.
Dr. Liu Fei, founder of Nanjing Minova Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a partner representative of GQ Labs, affirmed GQ Labs' R&D service capabilities, shared the history of cooperation with GQ Labs, emphasized the necessity and importance of launching the Guangqi Laboratory Animal Center, and looked forward to and blessed better cooperation and development in the future.
Finally, witnessed by Deputy District Head Guo, Academician Wang, attending guests, and all employees of GQ Labs, Director Huang Bin and General Manager Professor Sun Jianguo unveiled the plaque for the Laboratory Animal Center.
The GQ Labs Laboratory Animal Center is located in Building B4, Jiangsu Life Science Innovation Park, Qixia District. It successfully passed the on-site assessment by the expert group from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology on April 24, 2023. The center is equipped with intelligent and efficient HVAC air conditioning systems, RO reverse osmosis water purification systems, automated animal drinking water systems, automated pulse sterilization, and other intelligent equipment, comprehensively ensuring a high-quality husbandry environment for experimental animals. It possesses the conditions and qualifications to conduct experiments on SPF-grade mice/rats/guinea pigs and conventional-grade rabbits/dogs/miniature pigs simultaneously. A professional veterinary team ensures the health and welfare of experimental animals. Functional laboratories include an animal surgery room and behavioral laboratory. It can undertake pharmacokinetic and pharmacological research and evaluation service projects for innovative drugs and improved new drugs.
